About Us
Built from nothing. Made for the ones who needed it most.

Bee Quirky Crafts was established in 2023 by two women who had exactly two pennies between them and an unreasonable amount of determination.
There was no investor. No startup capital. No safety net. Just Lydia and Myshel, a shared vision, and the kind of work ethic that doesn't know how to stop.
It started with a $40 wall space — half of an 8-foot display wall that Myshel filled with handmade goods and sheer willpower. While that was taking root, she spent a full year doing outdoor setups anywhere that would have her — parking lots, community spaces, any spot that offered visibility without demanding money they didn't have. No glamour. No guarantees. Just showing up, over and over, until people started showing up back.
When the second half of that 8-foot wall became available, they grabbed it without hesitation.
By 2024, they'd earned their way into a booth. Then a larger booth. Then the booth they'd call home for a good while — a real, established presence that regulars came to know and count on.
In August 2025, they took their biggest leap yet: a small room at Boldly Going, their first true dedicated shop space. Four months later, in December 2025, they moved into the shop they're in now — a full room they've made entirely their own.
And at the end of July 2026, they let the booth go for good — shifting complete focus to the shop, the online store, and the next chapter.
Every stage was earned. Every move was intentional. Every square foot was a milestone.
Along the way, they noticed real gaps in their community — a lack of thoughtful resources for the neurodivergent, a shortage of genuine appreciation for first responders (and yes, that absolutely includes teachers and moms — fight them), and a gift market that kept forgetting that some people are genuinely hard to shop for and deserve better than a generic candle.
So they built something better.
Bee Quirky Crafts is famous for its Neurodivergent Mystery Bags — curated with real intention for sensory-friendly, fidget-friendly, focus-friendly living — and for seasonal collections that keep the shop feeling fresh every time you walk in or scroll through. Myshel has a habit of flipping the entire shop layout every few months so it looks like a brand new store. Regulars have learned to expect the unexpected.
The brand runs on a clear division of labor born from genuine expertise: Lydia handles production — sewing, weaving, and crafting most of the handmade line — while also managing TikTok and Instagram and working full time outside the shop, because dreams don't pause for bills. Myshel handles chainmaille (and only chainmaille — it's her craft and she's protective of it), plus Facebook, WhatNot live shows, operations, and the tech that keeps everything running. Together they've built a live selling presence on WhatNot that brings the shop directly to people who can't make it in person — chainmaille demos, live selling, and Myshel's signature smug confidence that something beautiful is about to happen.
For certain items, they collaborate with other small businesses to keep costs accessible — with a long-term goal of reaching 100% American made.
They're military. They're scrappy. They've worked nonstop with rare breaks and zero apologies.
This is Bee Quirky Crafts: handmade, intentional, and built for the ones the mainstream forgot.
